Tower of Power, formed in the San Francisco bay area nearly a half-century ago, has never stopped touring and recording. Of the ten current members, Emilio Castillo, Rocco Prestia, Stephen Kupka and David Garibaldi are four of the band’s founding members and they continue to drive the band’s creative vision, signature horn section and syncopated bass lines. Touring the U.S., Japan and Europe, Tower of Power brings their funky soul sound to generations of fans across the globe with classics like “So Very Hard To Go” and “What Is Hip?” Recent releases include their 40th Anniversary Concert Blu Ray recorded at the Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco and "Hipper Than Hip" a remastered gem that was tucked away in the Warner Brothers vault since 1974.
Average White Band puts the soul and funk in the history of American music. Known for timeless instrumental mega-hits like “Pick Up the Pieces” the band's songwriting stretches across several gold-selling albums and multiple Grammy nominations for the legendary Atlantic Records. AWB took their Scottish roots and influences from R&B heroes like Marvin Gaye, James Brown, and Donny Hathaway and developed their own unique sound. While songs like “Cut The Cake” and “Let's Go Round Again” became hit singles, many other album tracks, like “Schoolboy Crush” and “Stop The Rain” became much sampled grooves. Many more tunes, such as “Cloudy” and “A Love Of Your Own” stand alongside some of the finest soul album tracks ever recorded. The current line-up of the band, which includes noted U.S. recruits and founding members Alan Gorrie and Onnie McIntyre, continues to record and tour around the world.
