Artist Jeffrey Gibson’s ALIVE! installation has been raised in the Palm Springs Art Museum’s Elrod Sculpture Garden as a part of the inaugural Desert X exhibition. A 52-foot tall windmill blade serves as the canvas for this unique piece, which explores the artist’s Native American heritage and other themes through a colorful visual vocabulary. ALIVE! will be on view at the Museum during Desert X, a curated exhibition of site-specific installations, lectures and programs continuing through Sunday, April 30.
